I knew it was going to be painful but it's indescribable and doesn't compare to anything. I'm going in now - fingers crossed they don't send me home and all goes well.

Sorry for the delayed response. Thankfully it was the real deal! Got into triage about six-half six and was 3cm dilated. Luckily the pool room was free so I had a waterbirth and gave birth to our son, Edward, at 02.19 on 26th September - a total of 27 hours in labour. Cannot recommend the experience of waterbirth highly enough!!!
