January was our first month TTC again after we lost twins in September. I thought there was no way I was pregnant this month. I even had some spotting last weekend that I thought was just a lighter period and my body doing crazy things getting back to normal. I looked back at my calendar and realized there was no way it was a period and took a test just in case, still thinking I wasn't pregnant. Turns out IT WAS POSITIVE! 5 weeks 2 days if my calculations are right. They set me up with an early ultrasound on the 22nd because of the miscarriage in September. Trying so hard not to get my hopes up until we see a heartbeat, but it's all I can think about. Anyone had any success putting the worry out of your mind?

Congratulations. :happydance:

Have a very boring 8 n a bit months.

Hi Magnolia, congrats on your BFP! I was similarly surprised in early Jan, was really shocked to get BFP! Don't really know of ways to eliminate the worry, but I find getting early nights, reading and watching light, escapist stuff helps! If you don't already have children would also recommend bubble baths / candles / general relaxation and lazing around (though with the odd social thing to keep your mind off things).

Best wishes for your pregnancy.

A huge congratulations! I'm sorry to hear of your losses, I will keep my fingers crossed that this one goes well for you.

Thanks so much ladies! I'm trying very hard to stay relaxed and not worry. I did have some really bad cramps for a couple hours today and a tiny bit of spotting, so I can't help but worry that this one might end in miscarriage too. But I'm trying to keep my spirits up.

Congratulations hun, really is wonderful news! xxx

Well, it looks like this is it for me this time. I started bleeding on Saturday. Had bloodwork yesterday and will go again tomorrow to see what happens in 48 hours. It's not looking good unfortunately, but my doctor has at least said that once my hcg levels go back down to zero, she'll start some testing.

oh hun, i'm so sorry!!! big hugs for you, at least now they will do some testing. Much love xxxx

congrats! unfortunately personally i have found it very hard not 2 stress after having suffered 2 m/c b4 the birth of my 1st baby. just try and keep occupied and relax and rest as much as possible. sending u lots of sticky :dust::dust::dust:

Yay that's fantastic news. :happydance: No advice on easing the worry though. I think it's only natural. Trying to keep yourself occupied may help.
