I feel so sorry for you that the epidural didn't work for you at 9 cm. It did for me! I had back labor. Really really bad back labor. I screamed and screamed and the nurse offered me the epidural but told me it may not work because I'm 9cm and I had back labor. Thankfully it did work and it knocked me out! I so feel your pain. I'm glad you made it through!
