Congrats to you! How is your baby doing? How much did he weigh? I've had preemies, so I can relate to having a baby early. Did you expect his early or have any warning? With they first it was a total surprise. With my second, we had some warning. thoughts and prayers are with you!

So far he's doing very good -- he even came out crying! Something the Physician told us not to expect since he was so early.

He weighs 2 pounds 10 ounces and is 15 inches long. We did not have any warning and definitely did not expect it. I was having major braxton hicks on the 13th and was admitted into the hospital, given steroids, and some medication to stop the contractions. Unfortunately the medication did not work, and our sweet little boy entered the world 2 days later.

Thanks everyone. Elias is doing well. They've given him medication to treat PDA, and we'll know if the treatment worked tomorrow morning.

He's a feisty little one, and has been causing the RN's a ton of trouble removing his CPAP multiple times. He can't wait to have all of that icky stuff off of his face, and neither can I.

They were aiming to hold labor off for a few weeks because I was only 1-2 centimeters dilated when I was admitted into the hospital and my water hadn't broke. The contractions had stopped for two days, but 10 or so hours after they stopped the medication they started again, and by that time I was 10 centimeters dilated.
