I have a stupid question....if your not having a period are you ovulating?

Just curious I've heard two different stories....I am thinking no? I am totally mad right now and going insanely crazy me and DH will be BD every single night!

The story I heard is like if you do ovulate and it turns into a cyst instead of "the form of AF" can you still get pregnant?

I'm confused about what you are asking, so I hope this helps you.

It's not common, but it is possible to O while you have AF. When you do ovulate, it doesn't turn into a cyst. If the egg gets fertilized and implants into your uterus, then you're KU. If it doesn't get fertilized, then the egg and your uterine lining start shedding and you get AF.

I'm asking can you O without having AF at all I'm 20dpo tomorrow and I am losing my sanity on my cycle is there any chance to get pregnant without having any AF at all since July 30th????

hi, i dont know the answre sorry but i was also wondering the same thing, im still bf my little man so having no af...but also ttc soon. me and oh bd unprotected about 20days ago...now im having loads of pregnancy symptoms but bfn

sometimes you fail to ov even though you have pos opks however your body can try again later in your cycle so you would have late ov but think you ov'd earlier and seem to miss af, however once you have ov'd the corpus luteum ("shell" where egg came from) starts to produce progesterone thickens the lining of the womb in anticipation for baby so if no baby af comes, i hope i'm not telling you stuff you already no, the other thing is i have been following your journey and didnt you get some faint pos hpts? have you tried an opk to see if that shows anything? And i'm sure you no that hpts just dont work for everyone.Good luck i hope everything sorts itself out and just think if you r preg you will be 6 weeks not 4, 2 weeks less of worry. x

I don't know anything about cysts but I think the egg only has a short shelf life, a couple days tops. Do you know for certain when you ovulated, or are you going on averages? You might have ovulated late which would delay your period. I'm in the same boat, my last period was at the end of July but I keep getting BFN's. I though have no idea when I ovulated; FF still hasn't given me a date. It's very frustrating, I know!

I am just losing my mind over here....I should have O'd around Aug. 13-14ish....Who knows? I had my blood test two days ago hubby got mad this morning and called them he wouldn't tell me what they told him but said they would call me later with the results....I don't know if thats a good or bad thing...sounds kinda bad and he didn't want to tell me....so I guess another day of waiting here I go! I just want my AF back I've always been a 28 day cycle never missed and never been a day late...if anything I was sometimes a day early.....but other then that NEVER not had my AF show at all....I'm just mad today is 20dpo for me and I am so lost. When do I know I will ovulate....and if I'm not having my AF where did she go I am losing my sanity people LOL...Oh well I will try and hang in there today is a relaxing picnic and my hubby's work I really hope I enjoy myself at least it'll get my mind off things for a bit!


And yes I went from having a full week of "postives" to NOTHING I've tested every single day since and NOTHING at all....thats been about 5-6 days without a positive I wonder if I had a chemical and it hasn't "came out yet" Okay well hubby is on the phone and it could mean good news....

I am BFN! The doctor said I could have had a chemical because of me having positives then negatives the following week but there is no way to be sure....but I wonder why I haven't AF'ed yet......grrrrr LOL If I only knew what to do...if I don't have a AF soon they will give me some hormones or something...grrr!
