I have a ? when OPK turns negative, have you already ovulated?

I have a question and I should know the answer to this....but once your OPK's go positive and then go back to negative does that mean you've already actually OVULATED? I'm soooo curious because I don't know whether to DTD or not tonight.....anyone have any idea? I thank you in advance for all answers

I think it makes sense that you are done ovulating since you got your smiley yesterday (woo-hoo for smilies!). I would definitely BD tonight, just to be safe! Good luck Andrea... I really hope this is our month. My O pain/discomfort is gone today but in it's place is a sore throat, stuffy yet runny nose, chills... ugh. Oh well... hopefully I've dtd enough this cycle. Maybe if I'm not too sickly I can convince OH to dtd tonight before he's off to work.

I feel that we should dtd at least every other day anyhow...If you do that then you are sure to catch the eggy..No way the little guy will escape that many spermies swimming around..

Hi everyone
I'm using opk's for the first time and we're trying the o+12 ,ethod for a girl which means you should BD 12 hours after ovulation
Yesterday was cd 12 and the lines were the same colour. I had some ewcm but not much. So I assumed that today the line would be darker. But it's not. It's lighter and now I have white sticky cm. SO does that mean I ovulated last night or this morning? Meaning we should BD tonight???? I'm so confused by all this!!!

PS got 3 boys which is why we're trying o+12 - last boy conceived using Shettles method (for a girl!)

i never test after I get the smiley face, but I was wondering this too! have some people gotten smiley faces for 2 days?
it says on the box that you ovulate 12-36 hours after the LH surge that the test predicts. So I think that if you get a negative the surge is over, but that doesnt mean you have ovulated.
I got my smiley on a thursday this month, and I had a big cramp friday night so I think that was my O.
I do the sperm meets egg plan so with that I have to BD the night of the smiley face, then 2 more nights in a row, skip one, then one more.

We did two nights and now I'm suppose to skip and OMG....ANOTHER SMILEY? 3 days so far....I'm assuming it'll be BFP tomorrow to as its dark blue lines on both sticks....grrrr WHY???

I am so weird 3 days of smiley faces are killing me now!
