I have my 20 week scan appointment.....now what?

I see a lot of threads for the 20 week scan.... What can I expect from that and why is that one important? Mine is scheduled for Sunday July 6. She said they typically don't do them on sundays but they need to keep me in a window of time....

That is the appointment when they check the anatomy of baby, brain, lungs, etc. a lot of measurements

They will also be able to you tell you the gender at that scan if you are interested in finding out and have not yet found out yet.

My 20 week appointment is scheduled at a different time, though on the same day, as my anatomy appointment. I imagine the 20 week is just routine, like normal measuring and weight stuff. Then the anatomy is when they monitor the baby and are most likely able to tell the gender. We made sure to get these 2 appointments on the same day so there wasn't any unnecessary driving back and forth.
