Say to him something like 'remember that book, well ----- has got it, there going to borrow me it when there done, she paid £140 for it what a waste of money' lol x

Personally if it was me I would have to tell him I'd snooped and I really didnt want it. I would apologise over and over but I really wouldnt want my OH to waste £100 on a book I didnt want. xxxx

I just asked my DH and he said he'd rather I told him if I didn't want it. He said he'd get over it!

I think you have to be honest and 'fess up that you've seen it. Or do what someone else suggested and sell it at a later date, but only if you think he won't notice.

why don't you drop in that someone else got this book and you thought it was tacky?

has be been out bid now? just noticed its at £112 odds
can you not change the ebay password :haha:
failing that id say " ?'s mum is thinking about buying her that book for xmas she asked my opinion knowing ive read it but i told her its rubbish"

oh god I hope so. I'm off to check!

YES! :happydance::happydance:

Someone else is bidding higher! I never thought I'd be so pleased to not get a book.

This book has never been read and it's a limited edition of only 15,000 in the entire world, so there is no way I could pretend someone else had a copy and lent it to me, outbidding is my only hope!

Hey girls

I've been on the other side of this when i bought my OH a very expensive necklace last christmas only to recently find out she doesnt like it and wants to melt it down! Speaking from experience its better to let them know before its to late.

Do you guys share an email or ebay account?

We do share ebay, so he would see anything I did on the account.

I'm going to check now to make sure he hasn't increased the bid.

I agree I would just tell him. Its better than him wasting his money. If you cant drop any hints its best he knows!

Sorry just to add to my previous post (page 2, unable to quote sorry!) I read the OP wrong and was under the impression that it was bought and paid for. I agree with the others and you should amend his bid while there's still time
!

i think you should tell him - if you share an account it would be easy for you to accidentally see. it's not like you were snooping on his own personal account. you can't let him waste £100 + on something you really don't want!

I would have to tell him I think, £100 is a lot to waste. xx

That's great news fingers crossed he doesn't look for another one
