I like to be organised at the best of times but being pregnant has made me even more crazy about everything been organised and I just want to have everything that we need for bubs ordered and ready well in advance. My parents bought our nursery furniture which was ordered a few weeks ago and OH's parents are buying the pram and carseat but they are sooooo unorganised and Its driving me crazy :growlmad:

We picked the pram we wanted when I was 17 weeks and they said they were happy to get us that one. It is £565 for the pram and £115 for the car seat but I managed to find both online much cheeper and they would have saved around £200 if they had ordered online but they took so long that the offer had ended!!!! I have said hundreds of times that if they want I will get the pram and carseat and they can give me the money but OH keeps saying they want to order it or come with us to the shop which I understand but they only want to buy it from a shop over an hour away from where we live because they like it even though a shop in town has it and we could have got it 10% cheeper from there.

I've said to OH thats fine if they want to get it from the shop out of town but can we PLEASE to go and I have been asking every week for the last 2 months but they keep putting it off and I just want to scream!!! Me and OH were both on holiday last week and so was his mum and we thought we were finally going to be going to order it then but they said they were too busy

I feel so daft moaning about this but its really doing my head in, I just want to be organised and order the bloody thing

That does seem like a stressful situation. I see how you want to get things moving along with preparations, but at the same time can't say too much to them since at the end of the day they are purchasing it for you. Could it maybe be a money issue for them?

I don't really know what advice to give you, but I hope it gets better

Thanks hun :) Thats whats making me feel bad about asking all the time about it. We are so lucky that they are buying it for us so I dont want to annoy them but its really stressing me out at the same time. I said from the start it was too much but they said it was fine and that they were happy to get it and I offered to pay for it and they could give us whatever they wanted towards it but they said they would pay for it all so I just dont understand why they wont get a move on! Maybe I'm just too organised and need to chill out a bit lol.

Hopefully another good deal comes up and you can bring it to their attention. Try and stick it through a little while longer.

My OH is a bit useless with his parents at times like these! They all drove me mad when we were planning out wedding!! If I were you, i'd just call his mum up directly and explain to her you would like to order the pram soon as you want it for a little while to try out around the house etc, and it'll take a while from ordering to delivery etc.

Most of these situations can be solved by removing the useless man and calling up yourself!!!!

You might be right  I think I will leave it another week or 2 and if there is no word of anything happening by then I will phone myself :)

I know the feeling, thats why i refused any buying from family and ordered and bought things myself, now i got everything i need for baby and OH family just gave me some money to cover some of the cost which I am grateful for.

In your situation I will say maybe they are waiting for Christmas to buy it as a gift? either way ask them nicely if its better for you to get it then they can reimburse you later on.
