I love my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

So, those of you with Cavs and children... How are they at coping with babies?

Mine is a year older than my daughter so they have grown up together pretty much. She is 5 and my Cav is 6 (obv in adult years ). He was great with her when we first bought her home from hospital. He used to stand on his back legs looking into her crib but wouldn't dare put his paws on the sides.. it was so cute to watch. My daughter is very bossy towards him now and I often have to say to her 'hey don't speak to him like that/don't bully him' haha. He is my little precious and I won't stand for it. He doesn't take offence.. they have a great bond

my mum currently has 10 of them as well as numerous other breeds. She fosters for a charity but with the KCS she seems to end up keeping them!

OH would let me have one i think but not at the moment as we live in a flat.

Yes, they're adorable. Only I wouldn't get one if your DH actively didn't want it, because they're so sensitive that I think the dog would know!

Hope he's on board once you get a more suitable home!
