New to the forum and wanted to document my journey.
I'm 24, living in New Zealand with an American boyfriend! He'll be moving here for good in March this year, and we'll be getting married in August. But we'll be trying to conceive from April, once he's settled in.
The first step I made - I went off my arthritis medication. I was taking methotrexate, a big no-no medication for pregnancy, so I spoke with my doctor about my plans. He's taken me off it, and has put me on a safer one.
This first step has made it feel so real to us. We went from just talking about plans, timelines, etc, to actually getting the ball rolling. I'm so excited, and I hope (like many of you I'm sure) that we'll get lucky first time, haha.
