I used to know which cycle of TTC I was in. I pop into TTC and see, "third cycle, still no luck" and want to cry and SCREAM! Lol. Just doing some preliminary math, I guess I'm on cycle um, 48 or so??

So my title? "On cycle #48 and still no luck" Lol. Ohhh, how my body hates me.

I know how you feel. Without consulting iPeriod, I guess I'm between cycle 38 and 40.

I think that after about cycle 20, I realised that only a select few of us are true "lifers" to the TTC cause lol. We're in a different ball game entirely!

Lol @ lifers, but that's what we are, I'm not giving up, ever. So I'm in it for the long haul!!!

10 months doesn't seem so lt..i'm sorry ladies, i know how frustrating it was for us during our journey, I hope the day comes for you ladies that came for us so soon :(

I know what you girls mean. I popped into the TTC forum a couple weeks ago (haven't been on there for over a year) and I saw a girl post that she was giving up. I proceeded to open the thread and it was only her 3rd cycle and she was over how long it was taking. It took all I had to not post something because I knew it would come out all wrong and mean.

It sad how bitchy TTC has made me!! Back in the old days I would answer all of their questions, no matter how small, over and over, now I just don't even wanna look at them. And I almost never open the threads in TTC anymore.

So....... how long does it take to loose count of ttc cycles?

Is it weird that I don't want to know what number I am on anymore? Maybe after 3 years it all blends together?

I don't even bother to go in there anymore girls, it just frustrates me, I totally agree when you get past 2 years it is a completely different game altogether, but you know what it will be all the more special for us when it does actually happen and we will treasure it forever and we will never forget how hard we had to fight for it :D xx

I think right at two years is when I lost track. And the only reason I know now, is because I know that next month (May) will mark 4 years ttc for me.

We will be 4 years in November, I do hope that the end of the road is near for us all xx

That's exactly why i've moved over here!!

I couldn't take anymore 'oh i give up on cycle #3 at age 21'

I knew it was time to move when someone posted a thread 'tell me how many MONTHS trying to conceive' full of young girls giving up hope on cycle 2/3/4

Not sure my ' TTC #1 - 132 months (yes that is 11 years!)' went down too well! lol

Ah.. that feels better rant over! lol

xx

132 months is one way to kill a thread full of 19 year olds, if only because they had to bust out their calculators! :haha:

I did feel bad after i had posted it but they caught me on a bad day and they got it with both barrels lol

I did end with 'hope it's a quick and easy journey for you all' lol

I'm hoping i've found my new home in LTTC where people actually get how difficult this is xx

Hey, erm i'm 20 (just turned on 8th) and i have just started cycle 40.. yes i started trying young but i'm married to the man i love and we have been together for 5 years, we have both known what we want from the start. I know how bad it is to try for so long but in a way my age makes it feel worse cause everyone my age seems to fall pregnant if they so much as look at a man but in some ways i am grateful because i am glad that i have found out that i have problems concieving so early because it means i have alot of years left to recieve help etc. Not writing this to offend in the slightest so please don't take it that way i just wanted you to know that just cause i might be young i have still suffered the same way you have, i have just had to use the internet to find people in the same position (haven't come across anyone my age LTTTC though) and even though i may still be young the post crying about not concieving after 4 whole months and the worlds gonna end posts get me down too. Actually to be honest, nearly everyone i have made friends with on here now have babies even alot of the LTTTCers, i find it alot easier to be happy for my friends on here than i do people in real life though. I moved over here cause when you are 19 and say you been trying 39 cycles its also a thread killer

Lupinerainbow - It's not peoples ages i took issue with, it's the young girls moaning about being on cycle 3 and giving up hope already! My friend married at 16 and began TTC right away and like you found issues early on and it took til she was 30 before she finally carried a pregnancy passed 6wks due to a many many issues... she has 2 boys now at the age of 40.

xx

Hi Lupine :D Ignore us, we're a bunch of bitchy old farts, lol. It's not the age so much as it is the short length of TTC that gets to us I think. I know, that no matter what the age, not being able to get pregnant is agonizing. And although I may always not fully agree with someone 19-20 TTC, it's only because I doubt their ability to know what they are getting into. But at 20, if you have been TTC for 39 cycles, well that is dedication, and I believe you are actually in this for the long haul and know what you want, if that makes sense. You may enter our LTTC bitch club :haha:

LTTC bitch club :haha:

Dear me, 3 cycles that must be tiresome!!! :haha:

I remember when I just got married and was EXCITED :rofl: about TTC. What a joke now.

:haha: Thanks girls :)

We decided we want a large family, hence trying from such a young age. Shells its good to hear that your friend finally got her dream in the end, stories like that give me hope :)
mammag thank you for your approval :haha:

Everyone has been very supportive, but I wanted to add mine as well. :flower:

At 35, I may be a bitchy old fart as well, :haha:, but I have been with my husband since I was 18. We've been married for 12 years now, but together for 17. :happydance: Just because you are together young, doesn't mean it won't end up well. :hugs:

We were married when I was 22, and we started ttc at 23. So, that's still fairly young. I was diagnosed with primary infertility when I was only 24. So, I was a married adult, not a teenager, but I cannot count how many times someone said to me, "You're so young, you have plenty of time to have a baby. You don't need to rush." It drove me NUTS!!

Honestly, I think that yes, age was definately on my side, mainly due to the age of my eggs. I will be having an early menopause and I am grateful every day that I started this journey at 23, not 33. I honestly wish that I would have started younger, but that would have been nearly impossible for me.

So.........you're not too young lupinerainbow.:hugs: And I would love to see those moaning about ttc for 2 months, shocked into silence from one of your responses. :haha:
