to feel any fetal movement at 7.5/8 weeks?
I'm almost 8 weeks and this is my 2nd pregnancy, so I know the difference between gas and movements. Normally gas bubbles are a stronger feeling for me, I even get little muscle spasms, always have, but that's not what I felt today.
I'm wearing pants that are slightly snug and I was sitting with my knees to my chest, in a curled up position, and I felt the faintest thump. Very light thump only 2 times, such a slight thumping that was incredibly different!
I have not felt this at all before. It wasn't in the same place where I normally feel gas or muscle spasms.
I feel crazy for even thinking it, but I know at this point the baby can flip and move, so I wonder if it is at all possible to have felt something?

I read in aother pregnancy forum of a woman feeling fetal movement at 9 weeks and it was confirmed during her ultrasound. Her doctor said that she must have been really in tune with her body. So, I know it's not impossible.

I would never tell someone what they are feeling. You know your body best. I would think more flutters than a thump at this point....but you know what your experiencing...so I think it's really great that you can feel your baby already!!!! I would feel so much better if I could. I thought a couple of times, I felt some flutters but I shrugged them off because I'm only 8 weeks and 4 days. However, it is my 5th pregnancy.....so like you I also can tell the difference between baby and gas!!! Enjoy!!!!

The research I've done said that it's much easier to feel your baby past your first pregnancy. So you may in fact be feeling your baby too!
When I said thump, I mean it's more of a movement and less of a bubble (gas) feeling. So yes, maybe flutter was a better word. ;)

At 8 weeks, a fetus is only half an inch long ... is it possible to feel that?

I don't know, but I definitely felt something different today, and it was incredibly faint and only because I had some compression on my belly. I guess we will see...

I reckon its possible! My friend swears she felt movements at 8 weeks that got stronger and stronger as the pregnancy progressed.

These are my 4th and 5th babies and I swear I started feeling flutters at 8 weeks definately not gas! and only when I lay down on the odd occasion. Then about 10 weeks until today didn't really feel anything but then I have been kinda focussed on other things. Tonight I was cooking dinner and I felt flutters, felt like it was near my bladder they were stronger than a few weeks ago, but still very light and I actually stopped what I was doing to enjoy the feeling. It stopped after about a minute :D I reckon its the babies!

If babies are capable of moving early then yeah if they get the right angle I think we could feel it. I mean I notice an ant crawling across my skin and they are pretty small.
In any case even if it is just gas! I still get a good feeling inside and makes me think of my babies.

I'm 9+5 and I swear to god I felt flutters yesterday, only for a second, but Im sure it was my June bug!

I felt my DD really early on and I'm sure that what it was yesterday x

I havent felt baby moving but I do feel my uterus go hard and then soft and I also feel it kinda rise up and go back down but I know its not baby.
