ooo shes a gorgeous colour, I have a red and white staff too. I think they are the best family dogs in the world :) My staffys are called Charlie & Sasha xx

Awww she is so sweet :)

I have a 2yr old staffy girl called Lani (pronounced Lar-knee) She is the most amazing dog and is so so loving :cloud9:

So cute!

I have a 14 year old staffy called Bullet and he's the sweetest natured, most gentle dog ever.

aww so cute my doggy is a collie - lab - staffy shes called Brooke

Love her!! i had a staffy from 7 weeks old, i loved him to bits and def will get another one one day :)

i get her at 6 weeks it seems such a long way off but thats as long as i feel she is able to leave her mum x

cnt wait till monday when i get to see her again ekkk will get some more pics for you ladies xx

She is gorgeous! You must be excited.

Unless you are very experienced and have lots of other dogs to socialise her with a lot, it is better for her and you if she stays with the litter until 7-8 weeks.

We don't even allow people to go near our litter until 4 weeks old, let alone choose them. If the puppies are well bred and well reared they'll all end up the same size/build roughly.

Aw bless her she is a cutie pie isn't she :D

I agree can't believe you were allowed to see the litter at 3 days, I let no-one near my kittens until 4 weeks in case they got ill.

6 weeks is a bit young though hun, I think the best time to have a pup is between 8-10 weeks.

I'm sure all will be well though, bet you can't wait :hugs:

the pup belongs to one of my friends litter she breed her two staffs so ive known her dog was pregnant and then i found out she had gave birth on sunday i went round today to pick one out as shes got a lot of people interested in the pups so it was a case of first come first served i got pick of the litter as i was the first to view them.

ive got a female yorkie who i took home at 6 weeks and she was fine so i'm gonna keep making weekly visits to see her and make sure she is feeding well she is the biggest and strongest of the litter so i'm hoping at 6 weeks it should be ok for her to leave but we will see xx

Aww so cute, would love a staffy, my friend has 2 and they are so soppy!

cute :cloud9: but i agree with the previous posters that the pup should be at least 7 weeks old, no matter how strong she might be. They still learn from their mother and litter mates, then they are more interested in the world outside of their own litter including new owners ;)

The reason they shouldn't leave at 6 weeks is not to do with size. Most puppies naturally wean off Mum by then and will only have a 'comfort suck' rather than a proper milk feed. Mum has usually had enough of them feeding by then too. It is more to do with socialisation and bite inhibition. Licenced breeders are not legally allowed to let puppies leave before 8 weeks and the KC insist accredited breeders also keep puppies until 8 weeks and for good reason.

I am not sure if you're aware of hereditary cataracts and L2-HGA in staffies and also that dogs with a high percentage of white can often be deaf and should be tested really. Sorry if you do know, but a lot of people don't, so if you weren't aware, you might want to look into these things.

We need lots more pics as she gets older!

thanks for that midori my dog bella is due her booster jabs in october so will be taking them both for them at the same time so will ask my vet bout testing her.

i will keep this thread for updated pics of her i'm going back on monday to drop the deposit off so will get few more pics for you and will write her age and update in the title just so you know theres new pics of her xx

She is gorgeous, I have a pure white staffie with a brown patch over her eye, she's 6, called Jess :D She's a pain in the bum but wouldn't be without her, we also have a puppy too, he's a Jack Russell though called Harry he's 5 months now. Will keep checking for new photos. xx

thats what i plan on calling her jessie :)

they only thing thats worrying me is i have a mini yorkie and shes my world and my friends keep saying staffs are vicous and might attack and kill bella when i'm not at home i keep saying thats not the case if they grow up together because bella is as soft as a mr whippy ice cream so has anyone got any views on this?? xx
