So, I think an update is in order. The babies have still not spend a night in my room as their heartbeats are still being monitored in the incubators, but both are doing well. Clarissa had no troubles whatsoever as she weighs more, but Gabriel is being given oxygen in his incubator to help him out abit. Luckily for us, he feeds better than his sister (she takes her milk like a lady... extremely slow, while he drinks like a real man... fast and in one go as if he is rushing to go to war. They expect him to catch up with his sister's weight real soon). So, the paed is convinced both babies will be be able to go home with us when they discharge me tomorrow or on Sunday (must admit that I'm in a worse state. The csection really took it out of me and I'm still extremely sore when I move and walk. It feels like I've been hit by a bus, literally). I'm also disappointed that my milk still hasn't come in. We have used the babies to try and stimulate milk production, but still nothing, so babies are still drinking formula
Oh yes and last night we had a little scare. OH, who is on his last nerve and is still stressing about the health of the babies despite reasurance that the babies are fine, walked into my room looking like a ghost after checking up on the twins. Aparently Gabriel's heartbeat was dipping terribly and our paed was immediately called in on an emergency. You can imagine the stress, having lost a baby last year. Anyway, everything was fine and they found that the monitoring machine was faulty and giving a false reading.
Also forgot to add that what Gabriel lost in weight, he has made up in height. At birth (36weeks, 2 days gestation) he measured 49 cm and 5lbs 1 oz, while Clarissa was 47 cm and weighed 5lbs 8ozs.
So very proud of both of them and I'm completely inlove
@trumpetbum, thank you for the favour. Really appreciate it
