so am i being paranoid or could there be something going on down there, even when i go to sit down it doesn't feel right.

Thanks

Hi do you have a care plan set up such as cervical length scans or a cervical stitch?

Hi, yh i do have a care plan i had my dating scan a week ago and they also measured my cervix, i'm 12 weeks now and my next one won't be until 16 weeks.
I did go back to the doctor who checked me over and said at this stage its most likely pains from the baby moving up and growing etc.
I feel silly now but i was really worried every little feeling makes me paranoid!

Don't worry about felling silly you know if your body isn't right. I lost my baby at 22weeks last year and im 16weeks now, I have a stitch in place after asking for one. I am currently experiencing pressure and pains. I went to the hospital yesterday and was told it was "normal" but it's so worrying. So i know how your feeling. I also wonder if sometimes i am being paranoid but after losing a baby it's hard to relax and enjoy pregnancy.

The doctors say cervical changes start from 14 weeks onwards so at this stage your pains shouldn't be from any changes to your cervix :) won't the hospital put you a cervical stitch in ?

There is also an incompetent cervix thread that many women are on, myself including, they are all great ladies and together have lots of knowledge on IC. So come and join us, it's a place to share experiences, ask questions and to ease our minds :) they have helped me a lot x

My consultant is really nice and i feel like i can trust her, she said she doesn't want to put a stitch in straight away even though some consultants like to bcos it can do more harm then good.
she said she'l keep a very close eye on me like she does with all her patients and will scan my cervix herself, she's told me her method works well and she finds some patients then need a stitch and some can carry on without.
its just worrying not knowing whats going to happen next, i think once i pass the 22 weeks i'll feel slightly better

Fingers crossed you will have a good pregnancy and make it to term :) I know how you feel, I can't wait until I'm pass 24weeks. It seems so far away. I hope I make it. It's great you have a nice consultant who you trust, good care is the key to carrying to term.I was offered cervical lengths scans but opted for the stitch for my peace of mind as having a preventative stitch is safer than an emergent one and as I have had two preterm babies I knew that I would end up with a stitch anyway. So that's why I opted for the stitch straight away :)

Wishing you all the luck in the world for a happy and healthy pregnancy.
