What age was your LO when you changed from the carrycot to the seat?

Ava just fits in the carrycot, but in the seat looks teeny, but she loved it! I also amnt sure how to take the seat part off or recline it more.. :dohh:

It says from 6months, but there is NO way that carrycot will last another 6 months, 1.5 maximum i reckon..

im having the same problem except with my travel system mia is getting TOO big for her carseat so im gunna have to put her in the sitting position.
taylor was the same when i had a carrycot with him, he went into a normal pram/buggy sitting up and 3 1/2 months as long as the seat goes back it should be fine dont forget a cosy toes for chilly days!! xx

see i can still use the carrycot and carseat on the chassis, but she definately liked being in the seat more.. so i wasnt planning on using it just yet.. but she loved it?! so now im confused, is 3 months really too early??

I haven't got the same pram but Tom is 3 months and I've given up with his carrycot and we're using the reclining seat now. He was fine in the pram if asleep but as soon as he woke up he'd get bored and start whinging and crying as he couldn't see much. he'd stop when we got him out and carried him so was definately bored.
He loves being in the seat so I've gone with that.

I thought we'd use the pram up to 5 or 6 months but Tom has other ideas!

Maisie was 10 weeks when i put her in the seat, she hated luying down in the carrycot and would cry constantly, she liked to be able to look around and be nosey ! she looks so tiny in the seat but she was so much happier in there, and she was fine !! xx

okat, thanks, maybe ill try it out properly tomorrpow! venture to asda

i know this is an old thread but i'm having the same dilemma now... LO is only 14 weeks but is trying to sit up all the time if I lie him down, and cries when i put him in his pram. he usually sleeps in his pram once we get going, but i'm wondering if it's time to move him to his upright pushchair bit...

Caitlyn was about 4 months i think.

Bit of advice.

if you have the footmuff but dont want to use it, zip off the top bit and fold the bottom round the seat. Works as a nice snug liner :)

woo,

chuggabump -not an old thread i just asked like a few days ago! :D

thanks amy,

I went to glasgow today for lunch with my gran and i used it, put it laying flat and footmuff and had a snuggly blanket under the footmuff, and hood up and raincover on, she looked SO cosy! much cosier than the carrycot, and on the train she was awake sitting in there looking around and out the window etc, if she'd been in the carrycot im sure she would of cried! So def gonna keep using it now, she looked so snug! I prefer'd it too, to see her better etc. so thumbs up from me and shes 14 weeks.

I also noticed the top part of the footmuff comes off so makes a nice liner, much softer than without it! will keep that on till shes a mucky mobile baby who makes a mess

Oh, doh!!

Our LOs were born on the same day I think (if my maths is right!)

Right, I'm sending OH up into the loft to get the seat part down then, and I'm going to try him out. He cries as soon as I put him in and tries to sit up and I'm sure he'll be so much happier if he can be sitting up and can see me and the world!

Only thing is LO gets a lot of his naps in his pram while we're out and about so I don't want him to miss out... I'll give it a go and see how we get on.

The footmuff looks sooo cute!

heres a picture of Ava in it today
