Ideas for a private gender reveal?

My hubs and I would like to do a private gender reveal with just us so we can share in this special moment as just the two of us! We've had friends get the gender in an envelope and had a store clerk wrap up a certain color baby item so they could unwrap it together, and of course I've seen the cake/cupcake idea. My brother just did the balloons in a box with his wife. Wondering if anyone had any other creative ideas?

I'm stealing an idea I saw on here a while back. My gender scan is tomorrow, so I'm going to get the tech to put the genders in 2 envelopes (we're having twins) and then we're going to open them together xmas morning.

I really love the idea of getting the baby blanket wrapped and opening that. We are just doing the cake cause its going to be done on Christmas Day. I'm not very creative so no help sorry lol

We did a gender reveal to our 6 kids after our 16 week scan. We took them to the pumpkin patch and gave each of them a cupcake. The center of the cupcakes were filled by the bakery with either blue or pink frosting. It was really fun and we got a great video

Silly string in blue or pink, scratch tickets with mustache or bow, wrap up blue or pink outfit and have grandparent open it, pop a balloon and have blue or pink pieces come out

The 2 envelopes are up on the tree now TAUNTING ME LOL!! I'm not going to be able to sleep xmas eve like a lttle kid. We're definitely more the type to do things just between the 2 of us too.

I had planned to do that but the tech said hospital policy was that they couldn't write it down in case we came back and sued them. Not even if they wrote a disclaimer.

I was so disappointed I cried! Hubby and me haven't bought each other Christmas gifts because we're broke and trying to save for bubba. This was going to be our Christmas gift.

Oh that sucks. We're really low key this christmas too trying to save money. We got really lucky actually, the tech said they're not supposed to do that but she said she would. She was like - don't tell anyone!!
