If I felt hiccups up near my ribs, does that mean baby is/was breech?

Just wondering if hiccups by ribs mean a breech baby?

Hmm I'm not too sure because although my baby is breech and I can feel his/her head at my ribs, when I've felt hiccups they have been just below my belly button.

No I would say the opposite...mine is breech and I feel hiccups right down in my groin at the bottom of his back xx

It isn't a super good indicator because vibrations echo in your womb until the baby is just about due.
I am not breech and I feel the hiccups towards my front groin area. However, pp is breech and seems to feel them in the same spot.
Your baby still has plenty of time to move so don't worry about it. Your doc probably wont even check your position for another 3-4 weeks.

Mine is breech but I feel hiccups really low down, in my pelvis. So I would say no! x

He was transverse so I'm hoping he's starting to rotate a little...

Nope! The first hiccups I felt were in my right ribs and the next day the u/s showed Harper head down!

Well mine contradicts you ladies!

My bubs has been head down since 25 weeks and I feel his head jerking from his hiccups right at my pubic bone! x

Baby was head down & I always felt hiccups in my groin area... now baby has switched to breech & I still am feeling them in my groin area.

That settles it! I suppose it doesnt really matter where you feel them it musnt indicate the position of your baby xx

im head down and feel them down very low. if you think about how your body moves when you hiccup too, it jerks all over so it could be any part of your babies body that you feel moving when he/she hiccups - probably why we can't tell babies position from that alone x

Judging by posts here I would say anything is possible. My answer would be that LO is breech as my LO is head down and I feel the hiccups right on my pubic bone, but other ladies seem to feel them low with breech babies, so I don't think it's a good way to judge.

Thanks ladies. I do hope he's head down, but I suppose he has some time yet to turn himself into the right position. Yesterday was the first time I felt hiccups up that high so I was wondering.

My baby was head down until this week... the doctors say he can flip into any position he wants & there's no cause for concern until 36 weeks.
You're only 30 weeks, so you've got time. :)
