Im just setting mine up and confused:wacko:

Is it ok to put the pad on the cot bars?? what about the gaps, because the instructions say something about a plank of wood?

Hope you know what I mean, if not I can take a pic

thanks x

If you mean the wood on the base of the cot then yeah. I just put mine directly on the base without the plank of wood and put the mattress on top and it works great.

Ours is just lying on the slats of the cot and works absolutely fine. We put a plank of wood under when we were using it in the moses basket as that had more of a spongy base.

Thanks and do you wrap the wire around the bars...Thanks

sorry hubby away and im so bad at these sorts of things

I have mine on the slats too, I just bring the wire out the bottom corner and have the reciever unit at the bottom of the cot hun

We still have ours in the moses basket but we just put a bit of cardboard under it to make sure it is totally flat.

Thanks

ONE MORE QUESTION "sorry"

Ok, so all up and running but the sound monitor ( portable one ) can you charge it? It has batteries but I have a spare charger and cant see anywhere it could go....

I only have the movement one as we already had a sound monitor but mine doesn't charge, it only takes batteries. I thought I read that the sound ones do charge though? We only just replaced the batteries after three months!

no they dont charge - which i was a bit shocked at seen as its an expensive monitor

Actually it does, well mine does because there is a base for the sound monitir and the charger plugs in there ( id left it in the box ) div!!!

Thanks everyone...It's hard to read instructions when a baby wants attention lol x

yep mine charges in the base unit.. dont they all?
we had a few false alarms with using the sensor pad on the slats, so stuck a bit of plywood under and its been perfect since!

will get hubby do to that when he comes back in a week. I've got it in my head its going to go off by accident so hopefully when it does I wont FREAK big time....Yeah right lol course i will!!!

It confused me too ;)

I tested it with a happy awake baby... helped ;)

Mine charges on the portable bit - its 16 months old now and still on the same batteries. I have a large bit of cardboard in the base of the cot and the pad sits on that - never had any issues.

do you think Ill have probs because I dont have cardboard there? x
