If you have an EMCS in the USA will they offer you sterilization?

DH and i are not going to have anymore children, after this one. We were talking about either him getting the old snip-snip or me getting a tubal done. Obviously, the tubal is more invasive than the vasectomy, but one thing that we talked about, if i end up in an EMCS, would i be offered a tubal? I know its pretty common practice to offer a tubal in a planned c-section but what about an emergency c-section? (im strictly referring to the US about this bc i know other countries do not routinely offer sterilization).

I believe you have to let your DR know in advance that you want one done. You can ask to sign the papers in the event of an EMCS to authorize a tubal. Either way, you must sign a consent form.
