Well I have had the last 5 weeks off because dh has been away so we had to take a break for this cycle. :witch: is due tomorrow or tuesday and then it clomid round 3 (from cd 3).

I think I really needed the break as I was getting so depressed about trying and this last 5 weeks I have been able to get back in to the right frame of mind, plus we had dh sperm results and where we was told in december that our only hope was IVF with his lifestyle changes and tablets we have had a massive improvement. From almost no motility and very low count we are now at 30% motility with a count of 78million per ml, so there is a much better chance.

The question..........
I know his motility is still lower then average but does the fact he has a reasonble count make it better?

So heres to a positive start this cycle!

Thats great news!
What tablets did he take? My partners sperm has low mobility too, Ive got him taking a few vits which we hope will improve things.
Fingers crossed you will fall pregnant soon!
The advice our doctor gave us was that it can still happen, its not impossible. I think my oh sperm count is only slightly lower than normal but they are sluggish. It just makes it harder.
Have they told you that IVF is the only way?

Thank you xxx
We was told IVF was our only option because the count was next to nothing and of that, only 5% had motility. But my dh cut out all baths, alchole, (still drinks coke though), no cycling, takes a multi-vitamin for men and 3 amino acids (i will look what these are when upstairs next and let you know). Plus when we look back to his last test he was really quite poorly (man-flu) and that had an effect on his sperm as well.

Maca is suppose to be good but as dh is in the military we have stayed away because his doctor was worried that although they shold be all natural you never really know what you get off the internet and my dh gets drug tested and would be kicked out the military if found positive.

my oh has 7% mobility which is due to a reversal just over a year ago. I have now got him taking zinc, L-Arginine and he has just started taking Maca with I found on health direct. Like you say, he obviously needs to be careful what hes taking but it might be worth having a look into.
There is some healthy sperm coming through so its not impossible, I guess the odds for you will be about the same as it is for us.
Our doctor suggested ICSI rather than IVF, have they mentioned this to you?
