I was 19. I got pregnant because I wasn't preventing. We didn't use any contraception. I was over the moon to find out I was pregnant, I was just busting with excitement. I told my parents via text and they weren't mad at me for getting pregnant just disappointed that I told them via text. FOB/OH was the first person I told as I was at his flat that day and he hugged me and cried... He was over the moon too!!!

17. Planned. No. I was happy but nervous due to previous loss. My mum said "have you got some good news to tell me?" so i said "yes". She was happy. He did the test for me. I gave him a cup of pee and a pregnancy test and off he went. He was happy too.

Edit** I didnt tell my friends! I waited until the scan at just under 14 weeks then i posed the picture on facebook and they just seemed annoyed i didnt tell them. Comments like "kept that quiet didnt you". Person in question hasnt spoken since!

I was 19 when I got my BFP, had her when I was 20.

I got pregnanct from NTNP, we had a MC in September after missing some pills & after that decided we would NTNP & start TTC in August, but I got pregnant in November!

Yeah but at the same time we knew it could happen from NTNP, I was over the moon!

We told OH's mum the night I was rushed to hospital with suspected ectopic, we told my parents at 7 weeks, just sat my mum down & told her & she told my dad, they were all really happy.

My OH bought me the test & was there when I done it, he was in shock I think lol. x

I was freshly 18 when I got pregnant. Tested at 18DPO because I was convinced my period was being a jerk and was using birth control and condoms so I figured there was no way in hell I was pregnant. I wasn't excepting a 2nd line to show up before the control line even did so needless to say, I shat major bricks. My mom was upset for 2 weeks or so, not at me just scared for me I guess. Now she's excited to meet her grandson. My OH was the one who forced me to test because he had a hunch. He cried out of happiness actually.

Still crazy to think how strong the tests were.

I was 19 when i found out i was pregnant it was mothers day and we did the test in tesco toilets might i add lol...we were to excited to wait till we got home =)
we were NTNP since we started going out that was 3 and a half years ago so no contraception ...we didnt think it would ever happen for us...but it did and we couldnt have been happier..for some reason we were still like =0 really shocked even though we werent using anything, we told my mum as soon as we found out and she was really freaked out at first because i had just started a new job and stuff but when she calmed down she said it was the best mothers day present ever!!..she was really pleased. My OH FOB was waiting outside the toilets for me and when i walked out at first he just looked at the big smile on my face and instantly new it was a YES =) we went and got another test clear blue one and we did that together at home tbh i was expecting it to come back BFN as that wouldve been my luck but it didnt it came back 2-3.

I was 17 years old when I got pregnant, but I will be 18 on the day I am 37 weeks. I got pregnant by NTNP/planned haha. We were NTNP for like a year and then one night we kind of just decided to try. We had talked about it for months and months, but we never thought we would actually decided to try. We both REALLY wanted a kid, the only thing holding us back was how my parents would react. We decided it didn't matter how they would react, this was what we wanted and we could work through anything. Anyways my reaction was EXCITED! I cried I was so happy. I couldn't stop smiling. I told my parents by having them meet me at my church and I had my youth pastor and his wife there with me to tell them. They were upset that I didn't tell them on my own and that it was out of marriage but at the same time they were happy and excited. Never yelled once and were very understanding. My FOB/OH went to buy the tests for me because I didn't want to go in since I knew the workers and I didn't want them knowing if I wasn't pregnant. We both sat there and waited and he saw the positive and stared smiling so big and couldn't stop. He didn't start crying until after the 3rd test. Then he kissed my belly and told our LO that he loved it.

How come you got pregnant? me and my oh decided when we got engaged that we would start ttc when we moved out, it took us 5 cycles to get our bfp though it felt a lot longer at the time!

Did you use contraception? I was on the implant but took it out because I wasn't coping with all the side affects and obviously we weren't using any when ttc

What was your reaction? I tested about 4/5 days early, my cycles still hadn't sorted themselves out and as I was only on cycle day 30 odd I knew they could still come on day 40, I was so exited but also so scared that my periods were going to show!

How did you tell your parents? I told my sister who then told them for me, we then had a long talk, they were upset to begin with but very exited now

How did you tell FOB and how did he react? I called him up at work and he was over the moon

I'll add a question! How did you tell your friends? I didn't tell anyone friends wise until 12 weeks, I only told close friends as I knew many people were going to be close minded and make crap comments

For my little girl
I was 17 when I got my BFP, it was the 1st december 2008. I got pregnant because we weren't preventing. We were over the moon couldn't wait to be parents but a little scared too.. We told OH's parents while we were in the car going to the supermarket with his mum and sister. He kept saying 'mum you know your old..' over and over until I just went 'for gods sake! I'm pregnant' They were fine about it, happy for us My parents took the news harder, I told my mum face to face. She went a bit crazy.. it wasn't a nice time. But she calmed down and eventually got used to the idea. My dad was less 'in your face' I never had a confrontation with him as my mum told him, but he seemed fairly okay about the whole thing. Telling OH/FOB was easy I took the test and then went and found him and said look And he smiled

For my little man (this pregnancy)
I was 19 when I got my BFP. He was absolutely planned (NTNP) We were really excited to find out I was expecting again. I just grinned as soon as I got my BFP, and felt slightly nervous all over again Told my mum via letter as it went so badly last time. She text me saying 'thanks for telling me' and then when I saw her she said 'it's your life' It was fairly depressing. My dad on the other hand congratulated us and shook OH's hand OH's parents had guessed XD. OH I believe was lying on the bed when I showed him the test and yet again he grinned lol.

EDIT: How did you tell your friends?
I told my few close friends face to face, there wasn't many. The rest found out at 12 weeks via facebook

Shocked I was 16 weeks.
Drove to their house and they looked at my belly lol
Very shocked but fine i guess.
Him mom told us both and he was fine.

NPNT - just before TTC.
Nope i cannot take birth control.
I expected it and was a tiny bit shocked but over the moon, I just had the feeling i was.
Called them both the day i got my BFP.
They were both so happy for us.
He was with my when i got my BFP, so i showed him the test.
He didn't think it would be that fast, so shocked. He sat on the couch looking at me saying i love you over and over, then finally called his parents once they were supporting us he was over the moon. (hes a momma's boy.)

What was your reaction? I was so excited but also equally nervous... but that is expected right? I felt I might be as was getting terribly sick in the car before testing.
How did you tell your parents? I told them straight away, after my hubby, was easier to just come out with it.
How did they react? Very happy. I guess I am lucky as they always respect my decisions.
How did you tell FOB and how did he react? He was waiting for me to come out of the bathroom while I took the test. He was really happy but I didn't quite realise it until he nearly cried at the scan

i hope you ladies dont mind me posting on here. i'm 33 now expecting my 3rd daughter.. i too was a teen mom, 17 years ago... i have to say its so nice to read that the FOB's are just as excited about the baby as the mommy's... not so much my case back then...

How did you tell your parents? told my mom on Christmas eve 93 while she was wrapping presents. i dont think anything would shock my mom at that point

How did they react? she just looked at me and said, "ok"... lol.. yup that was it...

How did you tell FOB and how did he react? my mom drove me to his house and i told him we were going to have a baby, first thing he said... "oh i hope its a boy"...ha-ha it wasnt!!!

I was in SHOCK. I was pregnant, and not only pregnant but 19 weeks and 3 days. I had a little girl already. I mean, she wasn't just little. Like there was a big ole baby in there....and I felt bad cuz I didn't know. But I was in LOVE. Seeing her sucking her thumb just hanging out....and then I felt incredibly guilty because I had JUST played roller derby the night before AND fallen right on my belly....
How did you tell your parents?
I wrote my mom a note, oh I was so scared.
How did they react?
She actually took it really well. Although she drank a lot and told me "don't you dare get married"
How did you tell FOB and how did he react?
I came home from the ER, and he thought I had been like...dying. And I showed him the pictures and he was so shocked. He didn't really say anything and I went and layed on the bed and cried. He came over after about 5 minutes and like really quietly asked if it was a boy or girl and when I told him it was a girl he held me and cried with me. We were both so shocked. He was more excited than me
