How come you got pregnant?
After my MC I got on the contraceptive patch which my skin reacted badly to

Did you use contraception?
Yeah

What was your reaction?
I thought I’d lost another baby or was having an ectopic pregnancy as I took the test got my and then started to bleed, so I went to hospital and brought my best friend I got a scan and saw LO at 6weeks and a strong HB so I was delighted

How did you tell your parents?
I shouted it at my mum because she said:
I hope you’re not trying to get pregnant and I shouted I AM PREGNANT

How did they react?
She was upset for 2-3 weeks but now is soooo excited my dad(step dad) was delighted he loves babies

How did you tell FOB and how did he react?
He was mad at the start because he was scared of his parents reaction as they had only come to terms with our loss and so had we.

How come you got pregnant?
Because I was slightly naïve.

Did you use contraception?
I was using condoms but then OH and I got "baby fever" and suddenly decided we wanted a baby, so we started trying. But then nothing was happening and I got cold feet and said, "Let's wait a couple of years." and he agreed. But I decided to take just one last pregnancy test to be sure, thinking it was going to be negative no matter what, and it was most definitely positive.

What was your reaction?
I was in shock! I dropped it and was like, "Oh my God." and then I started crying.

How did you tell your parents?
I told my Mom and my Mom told my Dad.

How did they react?
Well, I told my Mom the day after my BFP after I got back from Planned Parenthood from testing to be absolutely sure. OH and I were sitting in my room and she came in and knew something was up and I was just like, "Mom. I'm pregnant." And she's like, "Oh honey, really?" And came over and hugged me. She was really nice about it. My Dad though... I didn't want to tell him right away and my Mom decided I was taking too long and a couple of days later she blurted out, "Patrick, you're going to be a Grandfather!" He thought it was a joke at first and he got really mad and said, "Good to know you've found good adoptive parents because there's no way in hell you're raising a kid." I was so upset and ran upstairs and started crying in OH's arms and then later my Dad came in and said, "I wanted to apologize. I was caught by surprise. I just wanted to let you know that I support any decision you make and will help you no matter what."

How did you tell FOB and how did he react?
He was right there with me and he started crying and hugging my stomach saying, "My little baby! My little baby!"

How come you got pregnant?
Not sure I was off the pill for a year and nothing happened, then I went back on it and BAM! I got pregnant, lol.

Did you use contraception?
Yeah & I was back on it long enough for it to be effective too.

What was your reaction?
I was a little shocked but happy.

How did you tell your parents?
I just told them.

How did they react?
They both reacted well, they were in the shocked stage for maybe 2 weeks but got excited right away .

How did you tell FOB and how did he react?
I just came out of the bathroom and handed him the test, he was and still is very excited.

I was 16 when I fell pregnant with my little girl. I was on a birth control but I had to take other pills due to a illness and a stomach condition and my BC and one pill look identical and I ended up forgetting my BC. I took the test at a taco Bell and came out to wait with the OH to get our food. When we went outside I told him and panic and scared came across his face. All he could say was " Im so sorry this happened" I told my parents the day after prom cause we found out the day before. I just went downstairs after I took another test to make sure i wasn't imagining things. and I started crying and she just knew.

19, although I am about 25 in the head. Haha.

How come you got pregnant?

We were trying, stopped my pill at Xmas and we were about to give up ! We'd decided to move in with my fiances mum to save up... but I thought I'd take a test before giving our landlord notice :/

Did you use contraception?

Nope !

What was your reaction?

Well I took IC's first 'cause that's all I had in the house and I was in disbeleif... they were very very faint but I was sure there was something there.. when we confirmed it the next morning with Clear Blue Digi I was over the moon.

How did you tell your parents?

I sent my mum a long message Via facebook because my step dad is ALWAYS with her and I was afraid he'd react very badly...

How did they react?

she rang me and said " well... congratulations! If you're happy and Phil's happy then it's GOOD news. " She told my step dad and he was VERY surprisingly lovely about it all.


How did you tell FOB and how did he react?

I rang him while he was at work telling him i might not be right but i certainly think there's something there... then about 15 mins later i took a different brand IC and it also had a super faint line again... so I rang him back and he was really gobsmacked but excited.. we met after his shift and went to asda for a load more tests together !

How old were you when you got your BFP?
20 still am 20 he/she is due the day after my 21st i really really hope i dont have my baby on my birthday


How come you got pregnant? Did you use contraception?
I was using the patch, the only reason i can think i got pregnant is
1. it want the best for my skin
2. i got pregnant at a 5 day festival so it probs got very very dirty


What was your reaction?
I couldnt believe it , i was like OMG . Lol i felt pregnant tho like i was glowing and just felt it . I was so over the moon i couldnt describe it

How did you tell your parents?
I just looked at my mum and she knew LOL, me and my OH went and told my grandparents, they were like what are you twitching to say????
My OH told his mum when we went up there and it was like he said it about 1am in the middle of a conversation and i nearly started crying it was so embarrassing

How did they react?
mum took a second, but she was OK. it took a few weeks for it to settle in for her tho . Shes now too over the moon for words, so is my nan.

How did you tell FOB and how did he react?
I said "i have something to tell you.. I might be pregnant.. I did a test.. Ok i'll let you see it.. yes i know.. Pick me up a digi one now i'll do it in the morning.. Love you."
