I'm confused & need help on feedings

I started out BFing Marissa & had several issues. Once she learned it my milk was begining to dry up so we switched to FF. My question is...how much should she be eating? She will be 6 weeks old on Friday and she weighs a lil over 10lbs.

My son was eating about 3ish oz every 3 hours at 6weeks (with longer times between feedings at night) and he was just shy of 12lbs at the time.

Wow. Marissa is eating 5oz every 3-4 hours and still gets hungry in between sometimes. Is this normal?

Every baby is different, she knows when she is hungry, i would feed her whenever that is I know my friend's son was eating 8oz right over a month old! While my oldest that was on formula was still having about 4oz every 3-4hrs at your daughter's age. My middle son didn't go on formula until 7mo and even then it was a mix of formula and breastmilk until 11mo...until over 11mo he only took 1-3oz a feeding. It can vary quite a bit, so i would just go ith what she wants, she's growing well, and content that's what matters

Should I be concerned with her becoming overweight at this age? I don't want to sound selfish or anything but I had a weight problem and the doctor's put me on a diet at 1 year old.

you cant have an overweight baby at this age! just feed her when she's hungry and dont force food down her xx

Layla is only almost 4 weeks but has 4oz every 4 hours. The tin should give you a "rough" idea hun

I heard that babies typically take about 2 oz per pound a day. But I feed Betty when she is hungry, I'd hate to hold back during a growth spurt.

that sounds perfectly normal to me. jayden was on around 6oz at Marissa's age. He's now on 7oz bottles at 9 weeks and polishes it all off every 3-4 hours! x
