I'm debating breastfeeding, but I can't get over it possibly being "awkward"

I'd say just give it a go. Have skin to skin as soon as possible after birth and allow baby to find the breast on their own (google "breast crawl"). We did that with DS and it was the most natural thing in the world, that was it for me, I was a breastfeeder!

If for whatever reason, it doesn't work out for you at least you gave it a go and you will never have any regrets or wonder "what if".
