i figured i should probably introduce myself my name's lindsey, i'm 18 and expecting my first baby on april 29. i had a previous miscarriage about 2 years ago which was beyond devastating and am thrilled to have this amazing second chance. took me a very long time to get pregnant so feel as though this is nothing short of a miracle. was engaged but my ex left me as soon as he found out i was pregnant. he was all talk and no action, which i knew from the start but turned my head to. so it's just me, doing this on my own, with minimal family and friend support. very excited, very nervous. taking things one day at a time.

had an ultrasound at 5 weeks, another at 8.5 weeks and that's when i heard the heart beat as well

I'm 18 years old. Currently with my daughters Daddy.

I was a single mom for a long time with my son, didn't have much family

don't worry about doing this on your own there is a section for STM (single teen mum's) on bnb and the girls in there are soooooo supportive!
I'm no longer with FOB but have an amazing OH who doesn't seem bothered by the fact that LO isn't his, he's still acting as if he/she is his own LO

i really wish i had an idea if it was a boy or a girl but i can say i honestly don't! i've always always dreamed of having a girl which makes me think that i'll probably end up having a boy cuz life tends to be funny like that. but honestly, as long as my child's happy, healthy, and hopefully cute then i am more than pleased haha. i'm just praying things go as smoothly as possible.

thanks everyone for letting me know about all the support here for single moms, that's exactly what i was hoping for when i joined here since a lot of people in my personal life aren't really providing that for me right now.

you guys all seem to have some amazing strength here, congrats to you all on your pregnancys and/or little ones

aww, i'm sorry about your ex, but it does sound as if you're better off without him.. I'm 17 and pregnant with my first, only 6 weeks left now and I am just so excited, but getting really nervous now too! i know how you feel about people not supporting you, I expected a lot more support than I seem to be getting, and it's horrible being let down like that but just goes to show I suppose.. hope everythings going well for you at the minute anyway xxx
