Honestly, what do you think. Pretty much all your repsonses will probably match mine.

For years the FOB has said if we have a boy can we call him Bruce. He says its such a strong manly name. However, I have never been convinced and if we don't agree then we will just name the baby after him, Lee.

He also jokes around about having his name as a middle name like our daughters have my name in their middle name but 'Bruce Lee'! :0

I think it does suit a man, but a baby Bruce. Not so sure. :)

Lou x

Yeah, Bryce is a potential comprimise :) Thanks

More thoughts welcome girlies :)

not my cup of tea hun but were would be if we all liked the same name xx

I think its well cute, and it will grow with him. "Little Brucie"

oh, i honestly don't know...i kind of like it actually...those older names are more my style though. it's different and he wont be one of 20000 bruce's in his class.

Ah Little Brucie :) Cute. Why do I hear an Aussie accent when I say it in my head? lol

I quite like it actually, it's a strong masculine name for a little boy imo

Lol, it is kinda Aussie-ish when you say it like that,
What about " Brucie Boy" Thats more soufeast laaaandan, lmao!

My hubby wanted to call the baby Bruce as well but when he was born it just didn't suit him i was so relieved as i really didn't want to call my lo Bruce as i went to school with a Bruce who was a right knob. If i hadn't of know another Bruce though i probably would of gone with it as i quite like the name, it is very "manly" only a bloke could come up with that.

as long as you don't name him del boy i think you're in the clear :P

it reminds me of Nemo... (Please say in correct accent, Australian i think?!) Bruce the friendly shark

Brice could be an option tho?!

I quite like it but if it was me and DH wanted to call him Bruce Lee I would say no, one or the other. Actually it is the sort of thing DH would like (he wanted DS to be called Damien Sanchez Optimus Prime  )

Love the Transformers. My other half would love that :)

In the US, Bruce is such a dated name...and not necessarily in a good way. It brings to mind the 1970's with lots of chest hair and big mustaches. If this hinders it in any way, it's also the name of quite a majority of gay men I've met in their late 40's....so, not so manly in that regard :)

I just don't love it for a little guy :(

momma2violet...i have to admit (im an american) that it did make me think of that a little bit too...i don't know if i actually know anyone named bruce, but i can definitely understand where you're coming from on that one.

Thanks guys, I too am American but living in England. :)

I totally know what you mean! I can just hear "can you gis whut it is yit?" in my head now!!!

Hmmm Bruce... Its a very strong name... Guess it depends who you grow up onto to pull it off?

Its not a bad name though IMO :D x

I think Bruce is a good name.
