I'm pregnant again .. it's thrown my plans!

Hi girls, my partner and i were planning on getting married in March 2010. I found out i'm pregnant again today, and it has thrown my plans totally! I don't really want to get married with a huge bump, i want to be back to my normal size 6 which i definately won't be next March!

We have our venue booked aswell

Shall i get married with the bump, or just wait until i have had the baby?

Well, you should look at it from both sides, I think.

Would you rather have a bump or put it off longer? Are you a drinker? You it bother you too much to not have champaign or wine that night? I'm sure whatever you decide will be lovely.

Well i want my body to be like it was before, and i want to drink, but if i put it off, i will be breastfeeding the new baby anyway, eeek!

I think i'd want to change it, i remember how much feeding you have to do in the begining i think i'd want about 5 months to get back to normal and not feel like you will be needing to feed your new bubba.

My OH and i were talking about this as we were saying so if we got preggers now would i have time to get back into my dress

This is just my opinion though...also i guess my wedding is in Turkey so i'm kinda thinking that would be hard

Is brining in fwd an option? The venue might have a date free - surley if you told them the reasons for you moving the date sooner or later they'd be ok??

Our venue need 4 months notice to move to a later date but if we wanted it sooner it would be fine so long as they had the date free?

Thanks girlies. I'll see what i can do. Problem is venue is booked and paid for, it cost us £10k, they said in their terms and conditions that if we wanted to change dates they wouldn't refeund us! :s shit!

have you paid the entire amount already?

I know with ours we lose a certain percentage according to how long before the date we cancel, we only lose the entire amount if we cancel with less than a month to go, if we cancel with 4 months to go we lose only the deposit of £500 then the closer it gets the more we lose.

I am sure if you explain they will try and help you. Is your wedding coordinator helpful?

Our venue let you change dates with 'x' amount of time left. The nearer you cancelled or amended the date the more you still had to pay. (If that makes any sense?!)

If they still charge the 10k to amend dates I'd be tempted to keep it 'as is'.

i would try to explain the situation and see if they can transfer your date. Hopefully the most they will do is charge an admin fee for changing dates. *fingers crossed for you*

I am looking to get married at around 34 odd weeks! Its not how I planned, but decided it would be easier to get married before LO is born and not have to worry about the baby. Plus I cant wait to Marry my OH so decided I could make a compromise for that. I am usually a size 8 and putting weight on has been quite an issue for me, but I can put it aside or just one day, everything else will be perfect

I've just had to move my wedding date back which was so hard to do but luckily everyone minus 1 were still available. I can't believe they wont let you move the date without paying again thats so stupid!!! They should understand that these things happen, good luck with it all keep us posted x

I'm thinking downside not so much the figure as being pregnant is beautiful but more by march you'll be at least seven months and prob tire easily, don't wanna ruin your day cos too nakered.

I'd defo consider moving forward but if can't and paid full amount guess you'll have to lump it, lol.

We were gonna get married too, wanted to be married before we had our next one, but oh well guess not gonna happen now.
