Im sooooo confused

hi all my cycles are about 40days my consultant from the fertility clinic says ovulation should occur at about day 23 so does this mean i need to have a progesterone blood test a week after that.
My day 23 was last friday the 6th august would a progesterone blood test need to be done friday 13th august to be accurate ???? i am sooo confused any help would be very gratefully accepted. I dont really get all this xxx

Hi there. Have you tried using OPK or charting to detect ovulation? If you are pretty sure you are ovulating and it is around day 23 then I think you you would need a progesterone test a week or so after. So this Friday would make sense. Good Luck!
