So I'm over it. I'm over feeling down and sorry for myself. I'm ready to start taking control over myself and my life again!!

I'd love to start a group dedicated STRICTLY to anyone that is ready to start getting healthy again! Working out, eating healthier. We could share receipes, work outs even tricks and tips for our mental state when dreaded AF comes around! I wanna take a new spin on my journey and I'd love to do it with any other lovely ladies that feel the same way!!

Who is in?? :happydance:

Me! Me! Me! Had enough of cold dark winter evenings slumped on the sofa with unhealthy meals. Planted my first seeds this weekend and already looking forward to a crop of fresh fruit and veg.
Resolution #1 to spend time outside for relaxation every day from now on....even if it's my morning cup of tea at the back door with my coat on. Listening to the birds, getting fresh air and vitamin d.

Any ideas for exercise that a) doesn't make me feel like i'm back in high school and b) something that sounds fun and not too tiring so that i might actually go out and make the effort?

Great idea :happydance:

I'm in. I'm so tired of feeling down all the time. I actually started trying to change my life back in August by losing weight. Well I did but it got to be too much with all the calorie counting. So i gained some back and started eating crap for two months. So about a month ago i took a new approach of just adding lots of healthy things to my diet and no matter what, at the very least, starting the day out right (Greek yogurt for bfast mmm). I haven't gone to the gym since January but this week decided to get back in it and take it slow. I had 3 great work outs and feel much better. Also, I'm trying to focus on good positive things too. Its helping a lot!!! Remind yourself of one positive things going for you and at least one thing you are looking forward to. :) oh yeah and come on bonbons for lots of pma!

that's the best move you'll make - getting up and kicking Infertility in the butt!

I made that transition along time ago, but i'm in the 'getting healthy' category as since october 29th i've lost 3st (42lbs) and on a roll to get fit now i've lost weight :) (i've still got 4st (56lbs) to lose)

I'm waiting on next FS appointment now i've reached their BMI requirements hoping for a lap and dye/HSG which ever they will be willing to do.

I lost my weight with Slimming world 'Extra Easy' plan... and it really is the best thing i've ever done x

Would love to join! I'm in the dreaded AF stage right now, and unfortunately have no tips for getting through is as my mental state is awful! Doesn't help that it's Mother's Day here in the uk today and I'm missing my son enormously.

Anyway, on the positive side, I am doing yoga several times a week (yoga for fertility by Brenda strong DVD) and the gym once a week with a friend. She keeps me motivated! I eat lots of veggies and love spinach and banana smoothies for lunch! It's dead easy, mix one banana, handful or two of spinach (raw), natural yoghurt and a little milk in a blender and voila! You can freeze portions of it then defrost one a day for lunch, Perfick!

:happydance: YAY!! I agree with you its time to enjoy the simple things in life again! I personally can devote myself more to at home work outs. I actually lost 47lbs in 5 mths by myself at home with diet and strict exercise! I do a walk away the pounds video I'm not sure if its available in the UK by the instructors name is Leslie Sansone and the work out is awesome! You feel you've put in an actual work out its really good and I highly recommend it!

So excited to start this new thread! :hugs:

Good for you that you are on the right track, I know its hard everyday to not "cheat'or when you have a bad day you just want some comfort food! Its always so much better to have a goal in mind as its a distraction from everyday stresses in life!

So excited to see our progress!! :hugs:
