Implantation bleeding??? Help

My period is due a week today. This morning I noticed when I wiped it was a pinkish color. Nothing else the rest of the day?? So confused. I wasn't trying to conceive this month, was trying to wait until January and using pull-out method... Is there anything else that spotting could be? I just started taking EPO, could that be a cause?
