Implantation bleeding

Hi there,

If I was having implantation bleeding. How soon could I take a HPT?

I've had spotting for the last 3 days. It could just be the start of AF. This happened for about 5 days before the start of my last one. I'm on day 32 and my last 2 cycles have been around 39 days!

Having said that I spotted at the beginning of my last pregnancy.

Implantation usually happens between 7-10 DPO and you can start testing shortly thereafter. Hcg is produced in little bits as soon as the egg implants in the uterine lining until the placenta takes over. I've read that the amount of hcg doubles daily or something like that so the earliest I would test is 12dpo personally but you can test whenever you want to! Going forward, I'm not going to test until my period is several days late though - pregnancy tests are too expensive!! (And I *hate* seeing BFNs!)
