Income Support Interview?

After spending best part of an hour on the phone to IS people this morning to try and claim, they've told me to go in tomorrow to see a personal advisor who will have a look at the case and see if i'm entitled to it? Does anyone know long long it takes?

I've also got to find my last 5 wage slips (working through agency, you get paid every week) and i've no idea where they are. We've only moved house a few weeks ago so they could be anywhere

Anymore info you can give me before i go in tomorrow would be great

Having never claimed for anything before i have no idea what the hell i'm doing really!

They only go over your details...check your documents and get you to sign a declaration and thats it. If you cant find your payslips, print off a bank statement and highlight your wages so they can see what you get regularly and offer your next three when hey come through.

Hi, i was really nervous before my interview!!
But to be honest its not like an interview at all!

Over the phone did you fill out all the questions they asked you?? Thats what i had to do over the phone, and then i had the interview two days later, where they printed off my questions, i checked them over then signed/dated them!

She told me when i should expect my first payment, and because im a single parent i saw a lone parent advisor after my interview who was lovely, and she just told me that they were there to help me, and i was sent on my way, it all took about 20 minutes. And the people who i saw were really nice as i was expecting them to be evil!

As for how long the money takes it should only take 2/3 weeks to process, but because their was problems with cancelling my JSA it took a tad longer.

I've managed to find my last 4 weeks worth of slips, then i miss a week but have found the one after that. However, i have found my last 3/4 bank statements out which will show just how much i got paid if they do need it.

I think i'm just very nervous about it all because i've not been in there before I answered all the questions on the phone so i'm presuming, as you ladies say, it's just to check everything over then sign.
