Increase in price of formula

Hi ladies, just to let you know, if you don't already that Cow and Gate formula has also gone up in price at Sainsburys.

Went in today as a one off and all stages 1-3 are £7.59. On the website it's still being advertised as £7.20 ish.

I normally buy from Asda so don't know if it's gone up in price there yet., On their website it's £7.20ish again. I know formula increased in price at Tesco's. I'm so flipping annoyed, yet another increase for us all to have to budget for again.

Just wanted to let you all know, if you didn't already.

i thought it was just aptamil milk formula gone up since why r they upping the price on baby food. I cant wait to get LO started on normal milk! in about 5 months time lol x

My OH seems to think it could be due to increase in price of everything down the line of making the formula, such as price of petrol, making the tubs etc.

NO, it's the bloody government being greedy numptys thank you.

Here in Aus formula ranges in price from $13 (aprox 8 pound) - $26 (approx 15 pound)

So id say u guys have got it good!!

cost of living also differs though. i bet that is equivalent in other shopping aswell.

Formula is VAT free but they increased it because they said the transportation and the main cost of creating it has gone up
also my OH's boss at Tesco said that it was probably because everything else went up with the VAT increase that they thought they could get away with it.
