I was just wondering if this was normal. I have had a very lazy baby that has barely moved the entire pregnancy. But the last two days she has been going crazy in there.

It doesn't generally last more than 30 minutes at a time, a couple times a day. But it feels like she's trying to escape. And when she moves I get these stabbing pains in my cervix, almost like she's poking it! She's been head down very low since 32 weeks so I was thinking maybe she is just not very comfortable?

I have read online that sometimes increased movement this late can mean the baby is in distress. It feels more like she just can't get comfy though. I went to the doctor 3 days ago and all was fine. I feel fine too but of course our minds sometimes get the best of us.

Is it EVER normal for the baby to get a burst of energy in the week or so leading up to birth? I know decreased movements are more common but could increased movements be normal too?

I had the same at 39 weeks, it was like baby couldn't get comfortable but seems to have settled down again the last few days back to normal. I'm now 39 +5.

My baby is the the same I am 38 weeks and head Down, I have noticed an increase in movement at the night time... I also don't know why!! :s

My LO has been lazy the last few days and today he was wiggling like crazy today. He must want to come meet his mommy.

My doctor told me it was normal because they have less room to move around in there so you feel them more (not necessarily that they are moving more).

Thanks ladies. That makes me feel better. :)

All I have read about was decrease in movement so the fact that I was feeling her more had me a bit worried. It would make sense that she's just getting to big and all cramped up in there so I feel her more.

Yeah I have been experiencing the same over the last few days feel like it's trying to crawl out of my cervix ha ha!
My midwife said you should feel movement and it's a myth that they should stop moving. I guess it makes sense that as there isn't as much room you will feel them more and feel the movements stronger x
