Hello everyone,
Just looking for some advice on Indometacin (also spelt Indomethacin). I started taking this 2 weeks ago. I am on 25mg 9am and 9pm. Taking this for high risk of pre-term labour.
I was absolutely fine up until Sunday when I started to have feel a little strange. I think it is possibly side effects from the medication.
I have dizziness, fluctuating heart beat, sensation that it's difficult to catch my breath (like I can't just quite take a proper full breath), occasional blurry vision. It actually feels almost like I am on the edge of having a panic attack (which I'm not) or that I might black out.
I've read the contraindications on my medication leaflet and it does suggest that these are side effects. Am going to see the nurse at my GP to have my blood pressure checked this afternoon. Although throughout my blood pressure has stayed on the low side 100/60 to 90/50.
Just want to know if this is absolutely normal and just part of the journey, as I will have to be on this medication for a while yet. Any advice most welcome!
Thank you
Mx
