induction questions??

im booked in to get induced on monday !

they said they can just break my waters as im all ready favourable and dialted by 3cm hes also fully engaged

just wondering if any1s been induced roughly how long it took from waters braking to baby being here?

they told me its more than likely baby will be here by lunch time??

as so is it often more painful?? i wont be needing the gels or anything??

and has any1 had any blood in there urine after having a sweep? x

when I was induced I had the whole 9 yards because I wasnt favourable. There is no way of saying it will be X amount of time from the waters being broke to baby arriving. because they are being artificially broken it could be a while or your body might go 'AH!' and get going really well really quickly. When I was induced, my waters went on their own at 11pm and I had her at 4pm the following day. When my waters went spontaneously with #2 at 4am ish I had her at 9pm that evening but my contractions started quickly and the MW said the baby would be there by lunchtime.....wrong!

I wouldnt put too much on it TBH. I think it's great you wont need the gels etc but it's still anyone's guess how long it will be.

i had a small bleed after a sweep its very common so dont worry about it.

i was also induced by my waters being poped as i was 2cm dilated already and was in early slow labour which wasnt doing much.

they poped my waters at 9.15 and 15 mins later my contractions started. i had more waters then were expecting so with every contractions more water would come and i cried lol zanes my first so i didnt no if it was more painful so that didnt bother me and did it with some gas and air i found biting on the mouth piece helped alot.

by 4.18 zane was born so took 7 hours in total but was like 3 hours in active labour.

my advice would be move around alot to start with as i spent most of the labour strapped to the bed on a monitor.
