So, induction booked for 8am tomorrow! I'll be 41+5 with DS2.
Had a sweep on Saturday (3rd one) and she said I was 3-4 baby was at station 2, pretty much fully effaced and very favourable, soft and stretchy! Since the sweep I have been having contractions. Since 9pm yesterday they've been every 7-8 minutes (so would like to think things could progress today). However, will all this positive progression, does anyone know if it means the propess will happen more quickly? Xxx

It may well do :). You have lot of good signs going on, and you still have today to progress further or go into labour. I was induced via propess and unlike you I was totally unfavourable for labour- cervix high, firm and closed. No contractions, I had 3 sweeps which did nothing. But I still went into labour from the propess (eventually; we started the induction at 10am and I went into labour at about 12am). So the fact that you're favourable for labour sounds really good, hopefully you will just need a kick start with the propess and then it will be all systems go :). Plus it is your 2nd LO and I've heard that propess induction is more likely to work with 2nd+ LO's as your body remembers what to do. Good luck!

Thank you! I've read a few horror stories a love stressed myself out! I just want things to go smoothly obviously! I'm not sure if i keep having these contractions fairly regularly if they'll just break my waters... Xx

Also...does anyone know, assuming everything with the induction is straight forward, how soon after can I leave hospital xxx

If they are able to break your waters instead then they may skip the Propess and just go straight for that! The idea of Propess is to ripen your cervix in order to either get you into labour, or get you to a stage when they can break your waters as the next stage (which will be reassessed 24 hours after its inserted). So you never know, you may not need it, fingers crossed! :-)

Do you mean how soon can you go home after you've had the baby?

At my hospital you can go home on a 6 hour discharge as long as everything goes Ok with the induction.
