Hi Ladies :flower:

Quick question about Infacol - Can I put it straight in a bottle of formula/EBM or should I adminster as it says on the box, ie straight into her mouth?

I usually squeeze it into a teat, he would just spit it out otherwise! :)

You should use the dropper to put it straight into their mouth - if you can give it to them 10-15 mins before a feed its supposed to work better.

I give it straight from the dropper. My LO loves its... I think she thinks it's part of her food!! lol!¬

You can pop in the bottle it'll taint the
Milk though and lo might not drink it.

It says on the packet that you can wipe the excess into the bottle so I can't see why you couldn't put it in the bottle, we put it into her mouth though because she doesn't drink all of her bottle and really needs her infacol. She used to love it but hates it these days and we have to do it really quick and pop the bottle in as fast as possible! x

When Aliyah was on it,it was straight in the mouth x

Thanks ladies! I will keep doing what I'm doing then. Its a bit of a nightmare doing it for the night feeds though!! Seems to be helping though so will perservier!

Probaby better to go straight in the mouth-but i cant find any evidence for this. My LO will not take by the mouth and it stresses her out so we put it into the bottle and love the way it stops any air bubbles being created in teh bottle and therefor not going into her tum. LO is pretty fussy-wont take water, etc, but it doesnt seem to bother her in the bottle-only half a mil anyway. Simeticone is verry inert and not absorbed by the body or broken done by the milk so should not be a problem in the bottle.

But, if your LO will take it by the dropper then do that-as they dont allways finish their bottle!
