For those of you on your second babies, what infant car seat did you use and did you like it? We had the cybex Aton last time and my DD was so uncomfortable in it. I think it was too narrow. So looking to get something else this time

Can't help sorry as we'll be using the Aton again, it's still in perfect condition and in date from our son.

We used the Graco Junior Baby carseat and base with DS and will be using it again.

with my son we had a Chicco Keyfit 30, and it's still up to date and clean, so we'll use it again for this guy.

I'm really not sure. We don't have a car and will only be in one once a month at most. Kind of think it's a waste to get one of the ones to fit on my bugaboo as they are at least £150. Thinking about getting a basic infant one for how little use it will get for half the price.

I used a Graco infant car seat with my niece and nephew but it expires this year. My husband thought I was crazy when I told him to check the expiration date on it.. he had no idea they expire..lol. I might get the Evenflo symphony LX because it works from birth-110 pounds. My sister used an older model of basically the same thing with her two. They seemed to like it.

Thanks ladies! I've been doing a poll for myself and one of my friends who is expecting her first baby. I'm kind of torn on whether to get something different since the one we have is in perfect condition and we've only used it a few times since we live in a city and never drive.

We used ours on the ride home from the hospital and when we traveled. But we're planning to move to the suburbs when this baby will be around 6ish months old so maybe I don't even a new one  since it won't be long before he outgrows it and needs a convertible one anyway.

Anyway, thanks for your input!

I had a Graco Snugride 30 for my DD & it's within the expiration dates, so we will use that again. No complaints here! :)

my son was in a convertible seat by the time he was 6 months - he was a big boy and was more comfy in the Brtiax convertible.

We used Maxi Cosi Cabriofix/ Pebble for both DD's and will be using a black pebble this time too. :)

This 3rd time around we are using a Nuna Pipa, I have it here at home but have not opened the box so I have not got around to looking how wide or narrow it is. With my first I had a S1 by safety first and he was fine with it he would always fall asleep in it. With my second I had a Britax Chaperone and I think she hated it, she never fell asleep in it and always cried when we would put her in her car seat. Don't know if the car seat was the problem or she was just the one to not like it. The Britax Chaperon was also unbeleivably heavy.

HOPEFULLY the nuna pipa will work with baby number 3

I found that Britax B-safe seat were good for my LO.. :) Hope you get the seat you love!

We bought an extended rear facing with our second and third babies. My first grew out of the infant seat so quickly it got expensive so we decided to spend out from the start.x

YES! To piggyback on what Tu123 said, if I didn't already have an infant carrier that works well, I would probably buy a convertible right from the beginning. After A LOT of research, we settled on the Peg Perego convertible and LOVE it! I was disappointed with the quality of the Britax seats, and really didn't like the Chicco Nextfit that we tried out in the store. The Nextfit actually pinched my daughter's neck on both sides and left welts & her screaming - it was AWFUL! As for the Britax, I found through the research that they have short shells and are not good for extended rear facing in kids that are greater than the 30th percentile for height. (Extended rear facing is important to me).

After countless research & youtube videos, I found that the Peg Perego was the best for us. My daughter is comfortable & still rear facing at 2.5 years old! (If you're not educated on extended rear facing, I highly recommend you look up the stats on it!) Hope that helps!

Thanks! My daughter is 22 months and in a convertible now, the Combi Coccoro, which we purchased because it's very light and we only use it for travel. We live in NYC so walk everywhere and don't use a car. I looked at the Peg Perego and was thinking to get that one once we move to the suburbs and need a car seat on a daily basis. It just looked so comfortable. And yes rear facing is high priority for me. I'm hoping to keep her rear facing as long as possible.

We had a cabriofix with lo and he was fine in it till around 13 months but he was a skinny baby. I'm not sure what we'll go for this time around but probably the same with an isofix base.

We went through three sets (6 car seats) of the symphony and the symphony delux. The buckles kept fraying and they finally told us we weren't getting them replaced. So we bought diono Sears and have never been happier

We love our Chicco Keyfit 30's! They're light, safe, and work perfectly. They pop right into our stroller (Baby Jogger City Select) with adapters and it's quite easy. If you want to see them in action I have some photos here (towards the bottom). Good luck! https://www.theydontfeedthemselves.com/newborn-twin-baby-product-must-haves/
