Informed midwife of sections plans

So got my booking in appointment in 3 weeks and I've informed my midwife I want another elective section. As my first wasn't booked till 36 weeks due to an infection at what lint in my pregnancy will I see a consultant about another section

I'm having an elective section. Saw the consultant first at 13 weeks, then 28 weeks and I have an appt next week at 36 weeks, when I hope it will be booked.

Excellent so you see them quite soon. Did they try and talk you out of it or did they just agree

He just went through the pros and cons, and told me I have a 70% chance of a successful VBAC. He has never tried to talk me out of it but basically said take your time in deciding as its a major decision. I think thats why they wait until 36 weeks to book you in.

I've known since before I got pregnant I want a section. There is no way I'm doing labour

May depend where you are as I had my first appointment at a vbac clinic with a senior midwife at 23 weeks. They went through the pros and cons with me. I then told them I would still like one. I dont need to see a consultant at all as there are no health risks with me or the baby. I am due a pre op on the 7th November and then a csection on the 11th. All straight forward.

Thanks. Ive been concerned they will pressure me into it . I pretty much had to force them to give me a section with my son and there was major health risks to a vaginal delivery .

My midwife told me I would turn up and they would try and persuade me to have a vaginal birth and I only had a 50/50 chance. So i turned up really worried and stressed and explained what my midwife had said and she said she didnt understand why she had told me that as it was completley my choice! If you have complications with a vaginal birth then you may see a consultant. x

My first was a three day slow labour finally allowed in hospital at 3cm, active labour for 12 hrs pushed for 4 baby got stuck when crowning , had ventous, 2 cuts then forceps kept in 5 days so ill and exhausted. Son born by section due to primary outbreak of herpes at 36 wks
