Ingrid or Zoe?

Thanks, everyone! That's funny that Zoe struck several of you as a 90's name. Around here, the only Zoes I know are under 5 (and it's becoming super popular among that crowd, which is a definite down-side for us).

Leaning toward Ingrid Zoe...

I prefer Zoe, though I may be a little biased.

I realize it's a bit more common than Ingrid, however, although I still haven't met anyone with the name Zoe where I live. So it could just be a location thing.

I love Zoe (it's dd2's middle name) Ingrid I don't mind, it's similar to dd2's first name Astrid but doesn't really capture me in the same way.

I think Ingrid is a gorgeous name and reminds me of Ingrid Michaelson, whose music I love. Sounds like someone who would be strong minded and a professional individual.

I prefer Zoe. For me it sounds kind of edgy, unusual but stylish, trend-setting without being weird. I can imagine a girl of any age with this name.

Ingrid belongs to a category of names that I love, grand-ma names, except that it doesn't have the sound that makes it become young again to me.

When I think of Zoe I think Spice Girls, roller blades and girls I went to school with. Definitely very 90s! As some of the others said the 90s wasn't really long enough ago to be retro chic yet, just sounds a bit outdated. I also find it a harsh name and not very feminine.

Ingrid isn't really to my taste either but I much prefer it to Zoe.

I get the 90s thing I'm a zoe and I was born in 91.
Although i have only ever met two other Zoe's and never a child with that name. I'm from the uk. Not keen on Ingrid not for any particular reason it's just not my taste
