Hi ladies,

I'm taking inositol for my PCOS.

I read on the net it's a good idea to keep using it during 1st tri as it helps with progesterone, but I've also read that it can cause uterine contractions, so now unsure whether I should still be taking it.

Does anyone have any experience?

Thanks in advance xx

I'm still taking mine and haven't had any issues with cramps or anything. (I also have PCOS.) I take 3000mg Myo-Inositol (standard inositol) a day, as well as 1800mg of D-Chiro-Inositol. I do IVF, so my uterus has to be kept very still and calm around transfer time, and doctor said inositols are fine to take, even right before transfer.

I don't take it, but did for a short while but it made my cycle really long and made me spot...my body didn't like it. Anyway at the time I did alot of reading up and it definitely said to continue through the first trimester as it increases progesterone and you don't want to stop and have your levels suddenly drop, so stick with it. X
