Hi all

Just looking for a bit of advise.

We are moving house and for some stupid reason we assumed the kitchen had a built in cooker.

Well it does not which means we got to buy on and we are moving in in 11 days time.

so its added expense we didnt expect which is fine we can work with it.

BUT everywhere charges £70 + to install it  its making things a bit pricey

I have a family member who is an electrical engineer who i know could install it does anyone know if this would effect our waranty? we do also know a certified electritian but tbh he would be my second choice as would still cost money.

The place we buying from does not offer installation

As far as im aware it wont effect the warrenty, i fitted my own in for this place and oh grandad did it in our old place.
Gas oven are very differant and should be done by someone qualified but electric ovens are basicly just like wiring a big plug.
As long as its done safely like turning the electric off first and they know enough to know what wire goes where it should be fine
