Ive just realised that in my excitment to book my tests asap, I booked my scan for the first day my period's due!

Is this OK? I dont think I like the idea of them doing it if I had my period anyway, but should I change the date?

I think when they do baseline scans they like them to arrange it for one of the first 3 days of your period! i might be wrong though.

ive read lots of ladies being scanned whilst on there period, they normally aske you to empty your bladder right before scanning you which gives you the opportunity to remove your tampon... scan only takes 5 mins or so, so i'd imagine there isn't any mess from it.

My clinic runs scans regardless of where you are in your cycle. I know lots of ladies don't like doing it when the is here but if you don't mind and you have your date there shouldn't be any problems?x

Baseline scan is usually day 3, at least withint the first three days.

Dont worry hun, its nothing, those nurses are used to it, basically they give you time to sort yourself out and they are so quick with the dildo cam and the condom that its not embarrasing or messy at all haha.........hey i am a professional at this so trust me, its nothing to worry about i just feel sorry for the nurses.... i mean what a job they have!! haha

Hi there. They might actually prefer you having your period. I had my baseline scan on Thursday and had my period. I was dreading it but it was fine. They do it all the time. My next scan is tomorrow and I don't really mind whether my period is away or not now. It's not as bad as what you think honestly xxxxx

Thanks, I feel reassured somewhat. Although the doc said nthing about what day my scan had to be on, just to book it. Im just really anxious about it anyway, I know everyone says its nothing to worry about but u cant help but fear it I get so heavy on my period tho I would be so tense and worried...Lets just hope she stays away that day! I'm not that regular, I might come on before or even after that, my cycles are usually 24, 26, 25,26 like that. So will it be OK if I have it and I HAVENT come on?? Perhaps Ill call the clinic again tomorrow just to be sure...

I would call hun, but seriously hun, these nurses have delt with people with shirt, light, medium periods haha they are so not bothered by it. Hey you are gonna have to get used to showing your bits to everyone, it becomes second nature, at my EC there were 6 people in the room all looking at my bits - in stirrups legs wide apart, seriously hun, ITS NOTHING so dont worry at all x

LOL I am getting used to that now I must admit. I was only concerned that it had to be on a certain day but by the looks of it it doesnt matter. Thanks guys!
