Internal Ultrasound at 6w4d

Went for my wkly bloodwork today. HCG is 72,000 now! No wonder I have been so sick!!

I went at 5+6 ( I thought I was farther but I wasn't) and we saw our little blobs heart flickering away! He said it was awesome to see it so early

That's great! It is such a relief to get to see the heartbeat. When did they say you are due now?

Ramzi method says if the placenta is on the right it is a boy and if it is on the left it is a girl. This only works for first-really early ultrasounds. Since the umbilical cord is so short at this time, the placenta is on the same side the baby is. I read online that it is super accurate, but who knows! Are you secretly hoping for one or the other?

How can u see where the placenta is I haven't got a clue what to look for? Lol

It has to be a very early ultrasound, around 6 -7 weeks. At that gestation, the umbilical cord is so short that the baby is on the side that the placenta is on. My bean was on the right at my 6+2 ultrasound, but ten days later it was already too late for this method, as baby grew and was now in the middle.

It is on same side as baby and isnt really visible as it is still forming.
