Irish girl names

How about Hickey, pretty sure that's Irish and it means healer !

Two names I have seen on here over the years that I have grown to love are: Niamh (neeve) & Aoiefe (ee-fa)

I know one girl with an Irish name: Siobhan (sha-von)

I love the name Caoimhe but I knew that everyone would just pronounce it Cay-o-me and I can't be bothered with the constant correction! We have an Irish surname (DH's grandad was Irish) and I'd love to have used traditional Irish names and spellings, but they're just not heard of at all really in my area, and pronunciation would be a constant battle.

For girls I love
Aoife
Orlaith
Saoirse (my absolute favourite, the spelling looks amazing and seer-sha or Sare-sha sounds beautiful)
Bronagh

And boys I like
Cillian (Kill-e-an)
Eion (o-in)
Seamus (shay-Mus)
Colm (Kull-um)

I really like Roisin :)
Also like:
Emer / Eimer / Eimear
Aine
Aisling
Cara / Caragh
Caitlin
Grania

And for boys
Oisin
Oscar
Dara / Daire / Daragh
Killian / Cillian
Padraig
Liam

Good luck. There are many beautiful Irish names :)

I love the name Oscar for boys but that's our ferret's name, haha!

I actually really love Aisling but the pronunciation sounds like a lot of pretty gross American names so idk.

I still am stuck on Roisin, I've been obsessed with it for a while, named my Skyrim character Roisin lmao. But my husband is reminded of Rosacea which I think is stupid because that would be any rose name. But whatever.

I just wish there was a name I loved as much as I loved Caoimhe. The pronunciation issue honestly hasn't been that bad. Mostly people don't even try, I just have to tell them how to say it and that's that. But I grew up with a name nobody could say so I guess I have a tolerance for it.
