Irregular bleeding

I breastfeed my son who's 15 months old at night. My periods came back 3 months ago. I bled from July 31st till the 4th then August 15th till the 19th then again on the 30th going on until now. The bleeding isn't getting any lighter, it turned dark brown then the next day bright red again! Sorry tmi but it's driving absolutely bloody insane. I have a doctors appointment on Monday to figure out why. With me and OH wanting to try for another baby it's really irritating because as soon as I think I'm ovulating I bleed again
