Irregular cycles but still trying!

Before you look into meds to regulate ovulation (some doctors make you wait a year, anyway), it might be worth checking out herbs like vitex, soy isoflavones, maca, and vitamin b....they seem to work for lots of women and are very inexpensive and safe. :)

Has anyone used vitex, soy isoflavones, maca and or vitamin b with any luck and or success? I wanted some more information before I ran out and bought anything.

I used vitamin b to lengthen my luteal phase, it went from 7-8 days to 12 and now 13 days in just two months. Now I need to ovulate sooner, so this is my first month on maca, fingers crossed!

Well I am another one with irregular cycles. I talked to the gyno and she suggested OPK. I mean we can sit here and say well I think but, we truly just don't know when our period is coming and when we will actually ovulate. This was my first month using CBFM and when I thought I ovulated and when I actually did was surprising. I have tried the cheap throw away's but, honestly reading them was a PITA to me! So I would suggest any kind of OPK it is really going to help you. Good Luck to you and OH

Thank you for the advice. I think I am going to hit the drugs tore tonight and see about a OPK and possibly the soy isoflavones. I have read some good things about the soy.

Hi everyone

Im similar in that my cycles have been irregular since coming off the pill end Nov, had a period in Jan and then nothing until April 11th and now nothing since, it is so frustrating

I started using OPK's a few months ago and bought them cheap in bulk off amazon, these worked for me as they showed positive for my last ovulation in april!
I also found that they got gradually darker in the run up to a positive (aparently they dont for everyone) and iv just had an almost positive today so fingers crossed!

It is very hard though, it doesnt seem fair sometimes that with our irregular cycles we might only get the 1 chance evry few months or so for our :bfp:

Lots of :dust: to everyone

So I stopped at my local health food store last night and talked to a very helpful lady (who just so happened to be my old neightbor) and she told me to try Vitex first and then B6. So I bought some Vitex and am going to a diffrent store tonight for the B6. Is there a brand of OPK that any of you ladies have used and liked?

Hi ladies I was going to suggest agnus castus/Vitex. I've heard wonder stories about it.

I came off the pill last month after 14 years and have gone back to a 28 day cycle (although this is only cycle one) & I'm confidient that the AC has/will help.

Good luck ladies x
